Beautiful pools

Pool lighting has become a popular trend in recent years. Lights installed in and around pools can serve as exterior decorative elements, and enhance the visual appeal of any outdoor space at night.

Here are some recommendations for achieving optimal pool lighting:

Avoid over-illumination: a pool that is too bright against a dark surrounding area can be hazardous for people who are not in the immediate vicinity of the pool, as they may not be able to see where they are stepping.
________________________________________

Minimize shadows: consider the shape of the pool when installing lighting equipment to ensure that shadows are minimized.

The surface of the pool plays a crucial role in the final lighting effect. Interesting lighting effects can be created between the lights within the pool and the surface of the water.

Colored lighting may not be as bright as white light. For dark-colored pools or those with dark surfaces, multiple luminaires or a combination of different shades of light may be needed.

Mix different lighting technologies to generate wonderful effects.

Safety should always be a top priority when it comes to pool lighting. Pay close attention to the safe voltage level for the lighting system. All materials used must be protected and comply with the maximum voltage requirements. The power supply must be located outside the pool, and all components should be specifically designed for use in pools.

Undoubtedly, LED technology is the current trend in outdoor lighting, providing a programmable technology that converts electrical energy into light, generating neutral white lighting that is perfect for dark-colored pools or those with dark surfaces, as well as generating RGB colors (red, green, and blue). The combination of these three primary colors can create a vast array of colors for lighting.

POOL LIGHTING

Pool lights not only add a unique touch to your outdoor space but also create a relaxing atmosphere.

TYPES OF LIGHTS FOR POOLS: TRADITIONAL LAMPS OR LED LIGHTS

There are two main types of pool lights available: traditional lamps and LED lights. The difference between the two is that LED lights create water mirrors, while traditional submerged lights generate points of light.

One of the main advantages of LED lighting is its energy efficiency. It can last for over 35,000 hours of use with significantly lower energy consumption and maintenance requirements than other products on the market. This makes LED technology a product with a long lifespan compared to other lighting products.

The advantages of LED technology over other lighting technologies include:

  • Higher luminous efficiency.
  • Longer lifespan.
  • Greater design possibilities in terms of lighting due to the use of different colors and patterns.
  • Better price-maintenance ratio.

However, some disadvantages of LED technology include:

  • High prices.
  • Low power per LED unit.
  • A high number of LEDs per lamp.
RGB LED SUBMERSIBLE LIGHTS

LED RGB underwater lights are a popular choice for pool lighting, but Incandescent lamps, perhaps the oldest and most conventional pool lighting technology, include any lamp with a filament, including halogens. Their operation is simple: a projector is placed on the walls of the pool, inside of which is a lamp that provides the light, while the lens of the projector distributes it. A transformer supplies low-voltage electrical energy to the projector.

Incandescent lamps only generate white light, and to achieve different colors, a filter must be placed over the light source, resulting in a single stable color but not allowing for color combinations. The cost per unit may be one of the cheapest on the market, but maintenance costs are high due to high energy consumption and short lifespan.

The advantages of incandescent lamps include:

  • Low cost per unit.
  • Wide range of luminosity.

The disadvantages of incandescent lamps include:

  • High maintenance costs.
  • Short lifespan.
  • Monotone colors.
  • High energy consumption, making them not eco-friendly products.

Infinity design pool

Infinity pools create an optical illusion in which the water extends to infinity.

Imagining a pool in which infinity merges into the horizon is a reality. The construction of this type of design is complex and sophisticated, which is why to execute these projects you should always look for professionals and specialized labor.

Waterfall in Pool

Nothing more relaxing than the sound of water gently falling down a waterfall. Forget about the annoying noises of modern life and allow yourself a moment of calm in your garden. Beyond the lighting in the pool and the infinite edges, I also present a few ideas about decorative waterfalls that I love.

TV in pool

Much of the time we spend in the pool, but few are the people who thought of having a television to be able to watch it while relaxing in the water. This can become a reality as I show in the following photo.
