Some green to cut

DECORATE WITH PLANTS AND GAIN HEALTH AND GIVE WARMTH TO YOUR HOUSE!

They make every corner special, add a note of color and have many benefits: they clean the air, relax the eyes and reduce noise. Fill your house with plants (and life).

I like minimalist environments. When using this type of design, it is necessary to add a bit of life to the environment with plants like you are. Surround yourself with plants to cut the sobriety of the black and white colors of a minimalist environment, and give life to your environment.

CREATE A GARDEN AT HOME

They will give you life and give you health because they clean the air and if they are leafy, they attenuate the noise from the street. The elastic ficus, next to the sofa, or the sedum on the dresser are very grateful because they hardly need care to be this beautiful.

YOU DON'T NEED FLOWERS

You can create a beautiful corner and always green if you mix pots that have plants with different shades of green. There are even some with purple, yellow or violet leaves.

If you have a balcony with a lot of sun, bring them into the house. They will not suffer and you will have more freshness inside. Of course, put them next to the glass so that they receive light.
HOW MANY DO I PUT?
It has been shown that placing between three and five plants per room refreshes, gives oxygen and relaxes the eyes.

CLEANS THE AIR IN THE BEDROOM

The bigger, the more it will clean. In this bedroom it has been combined with a philodendron, a plant that eliminates formaldehyde, a very common toxin in interiors.

IVY AND MARANTA FOR THE BATHROOM

The ivy filters the chemical substances of perfumes and deodorants that may be in the bathroom air and the maranta –on the countertop– needs humidity and little light.

FOR THE KITCHEN

On a shelf or in a corner of the counter, you can combine fiber, zinc or fabric pots, like here, to create a decorative still life with aromatic plants.

THE ESSENTIALS.
Parsley, oregano and basil: perfume the environment and your dishes. What else do you want?

The life they give to the spaces is incredible. Each one is unique and in addition to brightening the eyes, they are a real pleasure to smell. We tell you how to decorate with plants and everything that you and your house get when you have them.

NON-FLOWERING PLANTS FOR YOUR LIVING ROOM

Next to the window, on a chest of drawers. Find a bright corner to put plants in the living room. Mix plants with green leaves with touches of red, purple or yellow and you will have as much color as if you had flowers. Opt for species that are easy to care for, such as the elastic ficus, which needs little light and sprayed with water once a week, or the sedum, a succulent that lives with little water. (see photos of ficus elastica and sedium at the beginning of the note).

Now it is a trend to put San Jorge plants in the dining room. They require little maintenance and are indoor.

A GARDEN WITH COLOR INSIDE THE HOUSE

A landscape designer once said: "Putting plants at home is putting health", and I support her 100%. She plays with the heights and creates a very natural corner with two nightstands with various levels of vegetation. You can see how it looks in the image gallery.

Combine begonias, with asparagus, orchids, ficus or ivy (the photos of the ficus and ivy are above, in this article), among others. And in summer, bringing the balcony plants into the house is a good option so that they do not "suffer" the hours of more sun.

TO SLEEP: CLEAN AIR AND THE HOUSE WITHOUT NOISE

The bigger a plant is, the more capacity it has to clean the air. This is why having a plant in the bedroom, in addition to creating a point of freshness, being next to the window the clarity helps to clean toxic substances from the air and creates a "screen" against noise.

Alone or in company, in the bedroom it is combined with a phyllodentro, a plant that eliminates formaldehyde, a very common toxin in interiors.

IN THE BATHROOM, PLANTS THAT LIVE WELL WITH HUMIDITY

The ivy (see photos of the ivy above, in this article) is perfect for bathroom conditions: it welcomes humidity and also filters the toluene present in perfumes and deodorants. As it grows in a cascade, like the fern, it is very decorative and looks great on shelves or walls. The one with small leaves is less invasive.

And in bathrooms without light? Choose plants like the maranta: it needs humidity and little light.

VERY USEFUL AROMATIC IN THE KITCHEN

Aromatic plants have their best location in the kitchen: they provide color and a touch of freshness and are close to where they are needed. Be careful with the heat, because although they appreciate the clarity, they do not get excessive heat, so it is better that you place them away from direct sunlight and from the cooking area.
Plant them together only if they have similar light and water needs, otherwise they won't grow well. Parsley and coriander or mint and pennyroyal are compatible. On a shelf or in a corner of the counter, you can combine fiber, zinc or fabric pots to create a decorative still life.

The ones that cannot be missing
Parsley: Water once a week and remove the yellow leaves. Enhance the flavor of your dishes and sauces. Also, parsley is a good source of vitamin C.
Oregano: Excess watering harms it, prevents it from flooding. In summer it is at its best, cut bunches and hang them to dry. They will last you all year.
Basil: Remove the "old" leaves and you will favor their growth. Prepare a homemade aromatic oil by macerating basil leaves with virgin olive oil.

The importance of pots to decorate

You can buy the most beautiful plant in the world but without a decent pot everything you do is in vain.

White decorative stones

This photo has some little stones that I love how they look:

Acá un ejemplo de la combinación de Piedras Blancas con luces LED:

Here the floor lanterns, some green, white stones and wooden floors are combined. These are ideas that I love and combined are sublime. I leave the links of the notes that I made and that I pass the data to acquire them.

Combination Coatings, Lights and Plants

As we always say, to achieve the best results we combine decorations. The following image arises from the combination of coatings, lights and some green.

Vertical murals

I love this type of murals. You can make this type of vertical garden with natural vines, but this brings many insects, so to build this style of vertical garden I use artificial panels as shown in my note "ideas for your balcony".

Round bushes

The latest trend is round bushes. These are widely used by landscapers to decorate your garden. Here I give some examples
