First basic steps of FENG SHUI to decorate

After a hard day of work or spending long hours in class, all we want is to come home to rest, so it's important to note that the energy of our home should be the best so that the inhabitants feel completely at peace at home.

The ancient art of Feng Shui (which literally means wind and water) is an ancient Chinese philosophical system of Taoist origin based on the conscious and harmonious occupation of space, in order to achieve a positive influence on the people who occupy it. That is, through the decoration and placement of it in our home, Feng Shui seeks to improve the environmental conditions of the space, seeking harmony and well-being in our home. That is to say, it goes far beyond lighting candles and placing spiritual figures anywhere, Feng Shui should reflect your personality. Do you want a positive energy home? You must believe in it.

During this time when I am spending a lot of time at home, I associated my thoughts, psychology, and mood with decoration, then I realized that this is what is done in Feng Shui, and that's why I became a fan. Many things mentioned in this blog refer to Feng Shui without even realizing it. Then I got into it and here I leave a summary of the main principles of FENG SHUI.

In summary, what FENG SHUI says is:
  • You are as your home is. If your house is messy or dirty, it will affect you. In my article "Ideas for your balcony," I mentioned this when I said that one is the mirror of their house.
  • Furniture and its placement are fundamental. Here are the basic tips to take the first steps in FENG SHUI.

Basic tips of FENG SHUI to fill your home with the best vibes.

1) Avoid dusty objects

Out with everything bad and useless. The clearer the spaces, the more comfortable we will feel in them. Of course, order allows harmony and balance to flow. Order, cleanliness, and having many free spaces are fundamental in Feng Shui, so try to dust objects at least twice a week since dust does not allow energy to pass. The absence of dust helps attract health and vitality to your home.

2) Avoid non-working clocks

A stopped clock makes the energy also stop and remain stagnant, so it can influence your mood and the progress of your projects. If you have clocks like this, put batteries in them and let the energy flow.

3) Throw away broken objects

Do you have any broken objects? Throw them away! According to Feng Shui, these objects are related to a lack of self-esteem, so if you keep broken objects, it is because of the feeling that you do not deserve something better.

4) Change withered flowers

Dry flowers or those with murky water can generate bad vibrations in the environment due to the decay of energy. If you have flowers, take care of them and keep them with clean water to revitalize the energy of the home.

5) Second-hand articles, no thanks.

It is great to recycle, but Feng Shui recommends not clinging to objects that belonged to other people because they have that person's energy impregnated and will prevent you from having the place you deserve.

6) Goodbye to pointed objects

Feng Shui recommends that your furniture be circular or oval, and if you have square ones, such as a table, you can put a tablecloth to prevent the points from pointing to your energy centers and weakening your energy. Be careful with knives, scissors, etc.

7) No more sad or violent pictures

Pictures, posters, or any sad or violent image attract bad energies and create an atmosphere of tension in which you will surely prefer not to be. I leave an Instagram video that talks about pictures in FENG SHUI,

8) Welcome home

The hall should make you feel at home, its decoration is essential since it will be the first thing you see when you enter the door. Place flowers or a nice piece of furniture and of course a family photo that makes you say "I'm home." According to Feng Shui, each room has a function and the order of importance goes like this: bedroom, living room and bathroom. The bedroom is for resting, sleeping, raising energy.

9) Bedroom

We already said "rest", that's why there should be no television in the bedrooms, if you want to clear your mind go to the main living room. The bed is the protagonist of the space, it must be located diagonally and opposite the door.

10) Bathroom

It must be located away from the kitchen so that odors do not interfere, so that the door is not perceived from the entrance, and order must reign in this place so that harmony flows.

11) Lounge

The living room is to meet and drain the bad vibes of the day. The bathroom is for cleaning and discarding all the bad things we bring from the street.

Beyond the tips, FENG SHUI places a lot of emphasis on the senses as I mentioned in my article.neurodecoration.
